Manifestations of the World’s Contemporary arts in Tehran

Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Arts is set to unveil a collection of works by renowned international artists during an exhibition in the Iranian capital.
Manifestations of the World’s Contemporary arts will display more than 40 paintings, sculptures, illustrations and installations by famous contemporary artists.
“The event will showcase works by renowned figures such as Henry Moore, Kamil Jacob Pissarro and Morris Louis for the first time.
Dan Flavin, Alan Shields, Fernand Leger, Edouard Manet, Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh are also among the artists whose works are being displayed during the exhibition.
Manifestations of the World’s Contemporary Arts is a sequel to an exhibition of the same name which was held in June 2009 at Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Arts.
Last year’s event also displayed impressionist, cubist, abstract, minimalist and conceptual artworks by modern and 19th-century artists such as Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, Andy Warhol, Rene Magritte, Max Ernst, Vasily Kandinsky, Pierre Soulages, Francis Bacon, Juan Miro and Roy Lichtenstein.

lovely, lovely…….I wish I could visit this exhibition
This looks like a great exhibition.
I’m not sure “contemporary” is the right word, as almost all the artists are dead and most of the works date from several decades ago. I think “Twentieth Century” would be more accurate.
But they are all top class works.

Is it ok to take pictures in a Gallery in Iran?
It depends on the gallery rules or the exhibition holder. In this gallery of Tehran MOCA, you were not allowed to take photos. I could coz I am a photojournalist.
