It’s a great thing that there are hills a bit outside of the city, with some fresh air. I found similar hills also outside of some Pakistani and Sudanese cities. Pity the cities without hills.
When I lived in Atisaz which was supposed to be near the mountains for cleaner air I always found I could never fill my lungs with enough fresh air – apparently Tehran is one of the most polluted cities in the world. Its a shame because although it is not a tourist destination as such it has a lot going for it.
