Hello Amir,
that´s very good news to read that you are released now. hopefully the people of iran get the leadership they demand for.
Greetings from Germnay
Good to know you are free and back home. I hope you are free to continue your blog. There have been interesting articles in the newspapers here in the UK saying how bloggers have made a difference to the outside world and that the government of Iran can not stop it.
Mousavi is a sad sore LOSER!! stop the stupid riots! If yu are stupid to take part in riots, damage buildings, cars, buses, banks, you should expect to be arrested and punished!! that is the law of any country and their security forces!
Hey you (realist)If you(realist),(small “r”, for you do not deserve capital “R”), like the regime and their way of doing things so much, why don’t you go ahead and join them(most likely you are already), be come a molah or even better be an ayatollah , instead of being a “troll” in this blog. Go ahead make my day!
ps
don’t even try to say you care for Amir or Iranian people.
Amir, open your eyes and if you look here, all the zionists, anti Iranians support you!! why?? they want Iran in turmoil and anarchy, and you are used by them to achieve their goal, so for the the time being they are supporting you 100% to cause choas in Iran and destroy your own country in the name of freedom and democracy. look what they have done to Iraq in the name of freedom and democracy, and let that be a lesson for you!
Its a shame you feel that way REALIST. On the whole the people of the world all want the same thing…. Peace and happiness for all our peoples. Anger and hate only breeds more anger and hate. Spread love and peace, with honesty and an open heart
Iranian Government is:
Killing people
arresting people
torture people
spying on people
destroying their propities ………..
The majority of iranian people are young. They want to live in a free and liberal state.
Good luck to you and your friends, AMIR.
The world has been watching, with disgust, at how the regime is treating its own citizens. Stay safe, Amir. We are glad you have been released.
Realist – “anti-Iranians?” Really? Is Amir not an Iranian? Was Neda not an Iranian? Are the thousands being suppressed brutally by the regime in the streets not Iranians? The “Supreme Leader” once said he would never support tyranny. The basiji claim they want to beat back tyranny. Rather ironic that to preserve power they brutally suppress any voice of opposition. Rather ironic that a leading cleric calls for any voice of dissent to be dealt with “cruely”. People around the world are now seeing the Iranian regime for what it truly is – a brutal dictatorship that cares more for power than it does even for its own people. Freedom and democracy are ideals. They are not bound by any particular country or culture.
@Realist
Iranian Police and Basiji are the one who destroying, damage buildings, cars, buses, banks and other peoples propities. After, blaming their own people.. the world knows about your prpopaganda.

What a relief! As you can see by the comments, your absence has been noticed by people all over the planet. It’s not even possible to thank you enough for your sacrifice.
I hope you will be permitted to keep blogging in some capacity.
If you get a chance, you should watch this VERY non-confrontational (mostly pre-election) series of reports from Jon Stewart’s Daily Show (Jason Jones: Behind the Veil). I laughed and cried.

Hi Amir,
I am proud of you and am relieved that you are safe. It is wonderful to see so many citizens of the world supportive of you and the Green Movement and dedicated to your cause. To me, you are a TRUE hero! What the Green Movement started is powerful and there’s no stopping it, It’s like a tidal wave. The regimes’s desperate attempt to crush freedom and the human spirit will fail! The world sees Ahaminajad and his Revolutionary Guards for what they are; a bunch of stupid fascist thugs, who reign by terror alone. As an American, your battle brings to mind the spirit of the Revolutionary War when the colonists fought against tyranny. In the end, freedom will prevail in Iran, I pray for the day you and your countryman take back your country, and drive off these cowardly fundamentalists. Then they will pay for the brutality they have been unleashing on the Iranians. Stay safe! Your day will come, Amir! Keep on pushing, straight ahead! You will be victorius!!!!!!
Sincerely,
Night Flyer

Hello Amir. Welcome back. Happy to known that you are ok. Thanks a lot for the photos you made from the manifestations in Iran, days before your arrest! Your photos show the courage and hopes of the Iranian people. They are also a evidence of your personal courage. Thanks Emir for given us such precious and courageous testimony of what happened in your country in the last weeks

It’s Great to hear from you Amir…I was thinking about you ever since news medias reported hearing you were missing. I hope you are well and stay safe.
Dear Amir, Are you really all right? This is the 9th of July and no new message. I worry for you and your young people. Few people realize how hard it will be to change things! People don’t know how people are imprisoned or killed for just voicing your opinion. They don’t know about the hangings in the streets, somehow I feel they did not have a fair trial with evidence. People are imprisoned and or beaten for the smallest of things like holding hands. That is how so many people came to US for asylum if their lives are threatened no problem we will take you in. People who have freedom can’t even imagine how it is to live under such rule. As you can see here people can say ANYTHING they want.. If a government kills its own people it should be held accountable and not be allowed to go on. All the young men who were taken from their homes and never heard from again! What happened to them? How can anyone in the world be so insensitive People don’t really read their newspapers about terrible things in some countries, I will stop there for now. Most people don’t even know what is going on in a lot of countries.P;ease Amir and your friends be safe. You need more help. People of the world should not let governments treat people inhumanely. Love and Best Wishes
i’m delighted az in khabare khooob…khodaro shokr! we were all very worried about you, amir joon!
People all around the world–people of all faiths–are praying for you and for all of Iran every day and night. Feel the strength we send to you! Love from Texas
Glad that you are back.

9 July 2009 – I hope and pray that you are still alright. The Silence is scary.
It has been over 10 days since Amir’s last message. I am not sure if that was even his post. I don’t beleive in prayers as if they worked, Iran would not be in the mess it has been for the past 30 yeara. But, that is another story.
To the brave people of Iran:
DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR STRUGGLE TO FREE YOURSELF FORM TYRANNY AND INJUSTICE……THE BRIGHT LIGHT OF FREEDOM SHALL BE UPON YOU SOON.
ZENDEH BAAD IRAN-E AZAAD.
u are absolutely right, farhad! neither do we believe in prayers this side of the world; but as u said, that’s another story. the path towards a freer world is reason. anyway, u made me look at the present iranian situation a little more differently & with a little more caution.
to the iranian people: we at citizenk.org won’t give u up!
The people of Iran are in my prayers – for years, the West has thought of Iranians as radicals. We now see you as people just like us. You want to be respected and free and able to live how you want.
You have my respect and my prayers and my best wishes for the future. We are watching and spreading the word.

we were all very worried about you, amir joon! It has been over 10 days since your’s last message. Are you safe? Hugs from Italy – Bologna
this is my first time that i saw your pictures so beautiful stay safe and show the world more pictures of IRAN’s revolution and brave IRANi people.PAYANDE BAD IRAN PAYENDE BAD AZADI…….
Important: I would like to remind everyone to look at news very cautiously. Seeing that Amir has not posted for a very long time and that the style of this entry is very different from his other posts, I do not believe that he is currently free. I think worrying is better than believing than believing that he is free. In the former case, someone tries to take actions.
Khordad, I am afraid that you may be correct. What do you propose that we do?
I pray that Amir is indeed all right and that the violence against your protests will stop. I don’t know how to say this correctly but I do believe that so many of you are all praying for the same thing now together along with the rest of the world. God is opening the eyes of so many people that had no clue about the atrocities that were taking place in Iran. I think that God has listened to your prayers and brought about a hope for people. I hope I said this correctly. Your bravery speaks for itself and I pray that God answers your prayers for freedom and peace. Forgive me if I said it wrong, I meant it in good cheer.
Here is a link about what happened in Iran on Thursday, July 9.
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1909773,00.html
Let us know if this is what happened. Also, an Iranian/American has been arrested, possibly because they are trying to pin their troubles on American interference.
As an American, I wish to say, that I am for my fellow world citizens who want to live in peace and freedom. Who is it who wants to live in conflict? Most people want to live free among their family and friends in a loving environment with food, clothing and shelter. Is that too much to ask for?
No one wants to fight if they don’t have to, but peace and freedom don’t come easily. Why would I want to impose my own ideas about how people should live on others? What I want is for people to be treated like adults who can make decisions for themselves.
So, Amir, if you can read this. I am praying for you and your country. I want you to live in peace and freedom. I want you to be able to speak your mind and be free to question the things that you do not think are right.
Amir!
As many readers around the world, I am worried … 11th of July, and you didn’t post anything yet since you came back … so they scared you, they forbid you to continue, they tortured you so much you cannot write or take pictures … ?
@ Realist: how can you call the Iranian regime a “democracy”, i.e. a regime loving its own people, the Iranians, if the government is against free speech … ??? If in your opinion Amir is lying, why don’t you just put up another website to tell us what in your view is the truth and give us your arguments, so that each of us can judge independently? Just insulting those who you don’t agree with isn’t very helpfull to the debate … .
Amir, don’t forget, as Obama said: THE WORLD IS WATCHING!!!
Thanks for your incredible courage,
many greetings from Belgium,
Louisa (a Belgian woman who hopes one day the people of Iran will be free to blog what they want to!).
Salam Amir,
I am a photographer with a student publication at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
We are running a story in our newspaper about the protests in Iran. On that note, would you be able to provide us with a photo from the protest that we can publish?
Glad to hear that you are safe!
Ahmad
Amir!
you OK? you stop writing
Amir Joon, so good tot know you are back. Are you all right?
Please take care, wish you all the best.
Amir, I hope you’re safe.
Thanks God, you are safe. I’ve been visiting your site since the protest began there. I appreciate Iran more because of your photographs, thank you.
from Philippines.
Good luck Amir ! Fight for freedom, for you and Iran.
We have seen new event on French TV in your country today.
Hope you are still free, things are mooving; freedom will come …
Never seen so much comments on a Daily photo blog.
Good luck
You have not posted any thing in several weeks. I am sure they have put you in prison. I know what it’s like in Iran, once they put you in prison, noone ever hears from you again.
So happy you are free again. We in the US are all mourning for the loss of life. May Allah give them peace and justice and thanks be to God you were not among them.
I hope Iran will be free someday, I know it will be done for all of us. Marcin from POLAND. WE ALL ARE WITH YOU!!!
Amir is safe at home and with his family. Please respect the situation he is in….
This is the best news in a long time! I am so glad you are home with your family and loved ones!
Take care!
you stoped covering the protests and unrest, have things stopped compleatly or did they force you to stop reporting>?
Thanks for comment and your good question, protest isn’t stopped, but street clashes and unrests have been decreased. I like to cover protests again, but i have many limitations now since i arrested and released. We have a great March on “Quds Day” in 2 weeks later and i try to cover it by photos.
Many thanks for supporting us.
dont worry , june 12 is going to be remembered annually for a long time around the world. The start of the end.
